Some people come into our lives for a brief period of time and leave a small lasting impression — both good and bad. Others... well, they come into our lives for a longer period of time and leave life-changing footprints that are too big and strong to ignore. Footprints that cause you to reconnect with old friends and meet new friends — linked together from now on. Each link leaves another impression or footprint.
Lisa Brown (the Attorney for Elite Title) left an impression with those who briefly met her through closings and visited in and out of her office. To those who stayed in her office, her life, and visited her more often, those are the people who are blessed with her footprint.
While Elite Title may not be in business any longer, her lasting footprint in some of the lives she touched have been involved with a new title company named for her memory — Title Links.
Title Links was born through the ideas Lisa had accumulated throughout the past few years and set up in the office off of Highway 98 in Hattiesburg. Lisa "linked" so many hearts and lives together that would have never had opportunities to meet one another and become life-long friends and reconnected family otherwise. She has been the true inspiration in keeping her ideas and spirit alive in the Title Links office.
We are extremely blessed to call her friend, boss, co-worker, and family. She will always live forever in our hearts and lives.
Kayla and I both met when we were hired by Lisa Brown at Elite Title in Hattiesburg, who also was an Agent with Security Title. Lisa hired me to help Manage her office after her previous Manager and Assistants departed. She saw fit to hire me due to my experience in Abstracting (which I did for her for a few years), Office Management, and Paralegal work, as well as previous experience as a Realtor and Mortgage Loan Closer. She brought Kayla on board for her experience in banking and hired her to help coordinate the closings of the office.
Due to Lisa's declining health with her cancer shortly after our hire date, Kayla and I found ourselves with an unusual array of situations we had to problem-solve, research, and fix to the best of our ability, with little to no training in Qualia and no login information to make the office function as it should.
Lisa departed this life on January 12th as the sole and only owner of Elite Title. Since she passed this life with no spouse or children, Elite Title was her "baby".
Kayla and I consulted with the people in this industry who helped us during these trying times, in hopes of starting another title company in the same location, driven by the memory of our beloved attorney Lisa Brown. After careful consideration and lots of prayers, things we needed to act upon and fall into place finally allowed us to move forward with our new title company.
We are a new startup company with Attorney James "Jim" W. Gladden, Jr. to be of counsel and to prepare our documents. He comes with more than 40 years of experience and will be present in our office regularly.
We are so blessed to have known Lisa and work with her at Elite Title, and although we did not have enough time with Lisa, she linked strangers together, as she had always done throughout her life. Because of her stronghold and impression on us and others, we formed "Title Links". The name alone has a vast importance in not only the memory of Lisa Brown but also the links of other duties and responsibilities in the Real Estate Industry to make closings and transactions happen.

I am a native of Lamar County, Mississippi. I started my working career at Magnolia Federal Bank in downtown Hattiesburg in 1993, which was later known as Magna Mortgage, where I worked as a Correspondent Mortgage Loan Closer. Over the years, I have gained experience as a Real Estate Title Abstractor, a Realtor, and a Paralegal. I have worked freelance for more than 20 years and have completed work for attorneys, mortgage companies, foreclosure companies, pipeline companies, and financial institutions, as well as individuals. I currently serve as the Lamar County District 3 Election Commissioner, the Secretary of the Lamar County Historical Society, and on the Board of the Purvis Street Festival Committee in Purvis, Mississippi.
One of the referrals brought me to Lisa Brown with Elite Title, where she and I bonded quickly and grew as friends. With the passing of Lisa Brown in January 2025, Elite Title closed the doors. Title Links was born in late February 2025 from the similar ideas and plans of Lisa Brown, and upon her memory, will be grown to be a successful and heartfelt adventure with new friends, family, and acquaintances.
I am currently a Real Estate Title Abstractor and have been for more than 20 years covering multiple counties in Alabama and Mississippi. I am also currently a Paralegal with more than 10 years of experience. I have been a Realtor for four years and a Mortgage Loan Closer for five years.
